Sibiel est un trio trio à cordes créé en 2000. Jusqu'à l'an 2005, il s'agit de Jean-Philippe Feiss, Théo Girard et Thierry Fournel. A partir de là, ce dernier a été remplacé par David Potaux-Razel à la guitare.
Un premier disque au répertoire tiré du folklore tsigane roumain, laisse place à ce disque éponyme qui marque une étape dans la vie du groupe. Une transition entre le folklore des débuts et la création et la recherche développés dans le 3e opus (voir La Douceur).
